About this property
This 69-hectare woodland estate is located in the Cher department, in the geographical area between Bourges and Vierzon. It comprises exclusively broadleaf woodland dominated by oak.
A detailed tree-by-tree inventory has been completed, recording approximately 9,000 stems with a total standing volume estimated at 9,750 m³. Oak represents virtually all the standing volume at 9,355 m³ distributed across 7,716 trees. The woodland structure is characterised by an irregular high forest with areas of mixed high forest and coppice woodland.
The quality of timber present allows for consideration of premium end-uses, particularly for stave production and joinery timber. The mixed high forest and coppice woodland is divided into five distinct groups according to diameter class distribution: balanced, small to medium timber dominant, medium to large timber dominant, with sparse coppice, or large timber in open woodland.
