Forestry estate, 26 hectares (64 acres) in Limousin

This forestry estate of 26 hectares (64 acres) comprises six woodland parcels spread across five communes in northern Creuse and southern Indre. The property is divided into two distinct sectors approximately 25 kilometres apart.

The Creuse section represents approximately 11 hectares (27 acres) and consists mainly of broadleaf plantations established some twenty years ago on former agricultural land. Species include sycamore maple, poplar, walnut, sweet chestnut, oak, red oak and ash. Approximately 5 hectares (12 acres) comprise grassland and meadow with partial tree cover. The woodland parcels in this sector are spaced roughly 2 kilometres apart.

The Indre section covers approximately 10 hectares (25 acres) and forms a well-consolidated block. It features a coppice woodland with standards of pedunculate oak and mixed broadleaf coppice. The high forest is estimated at approximately 72 years of age. The sector benefits from average annual rainfall of 700 mm and sits at a mean altitude of 380 metres.
