About this property
This forestry estate of 104.83 hectares (259 acres) is located at Bouverans in the Haut-Doubs, a region renowned for the quality of its silviculture and the excellence of its coniferous timber. The forest comprises three complementary parcels of 78, 22 and 4.5 hectares, enabling balanced and uniform management.
The principal stand consists of a selection forest of fir and spruce covering 91 hectares, producing high-quality large-dimension sawlogs. This layered structure ensures continuous timber yield and natural regeneration without heavy intervention. The property also includes spruce plantations of varying ages (30–35 years on 4 ha, 2004 planting on 2.45 ha), together with a young larch plantation established in 2024 on 2.3 hectares to diversify species. Approximately 5 hectares comprise young growth and pole timber arising from natural regeneration following storm damage.
The forest generates regular income through harvesting of coniferous sawlogs, which are in strong demand on the regional market. Maintenance costs remain modest owing to the predominance of natural regeneration.
