About this property

This woodland property is situated in the Montbard area of Côte-d'Or, Burgundy. It comprises two adjoining parcels with a combined area of approximately 46.9 hectares (116 acres). The main woodland block extends over 35 hectares and features two distinct stand types.

The first type occupies 11 hectares on the north-east facing slope, where deep soils support a rich beech stand. The high forest contains 80 to 120 stems per hectare, composed of 95% beech complemented by oak, wild cherry and some whitebeam. The structure is dominated by large timber (70%) and medium timber (25%).

The second type extends over 23 hectares and is characterised by oak coppice with standards, with a density of 60 to 120 stems per hectare. The oaks are predominantly of medium dimensions, whilst the beeches reach medium to large dimensions. In shallow areas where limestone outcrops, growth is more limited.

The property offers shooting potential. A detailed report including a complete forest inventory is available on request.
