Chestnut Forest, 42 ha in Dordogne

This 42-hectare forest holding is located at Mauzens-et-Miremont, in a traditional chestnut-growing area of Dordogne. The property comprises two distinct parcels offering complementary management opportunities.

The first parcel, approximately 26 hectares, features young chestnut coppice with natural regeneration of pine and some robinia, with hazel in the understorey. This diversity of species will enable firewood harvesting in the coming years. Access is via footpaths.

The second parcel, 16.5 hectares, consists of more mature chestnuts with diameters of 10 to 25 cm and heights of 5 to 10 metres. These stands are ready for harvesting for firewood or fence-post production. A forest road facilitates extraction.

A shooting lease is currently in place on the property, where roe deer and wild boar are present, providing supplementary income.
